BURNOUT DOESN’T MEAN YOU’RE FAILING.
It means you’ve been carrying a lot, often without enough support.
You are not alone, and you deserve care too.
Burnout happens when the demands placed on you outweigh the support and rest you receive.
It often looks like…
- Constant exhaustion (physical or emotional)
- Feeling irritable, numb or overwhelmed
- Increased stress, frustration or guilt about not “doing enough”
- Difficulty sleeping or switching off
- Feeling disconnected from your child or others
- Frequent headaches, tension or illness
SMALL STEPS CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE…
Lower the load
- Let go of “perfect” parenting! Good enough is enough.
- Choose one or two priorities per day (not ten).
Take a quick pause (or a micro-break)
- 2-5 minutes of quiet, fresh air, or stretching.
- A cup of tea without multitasking.
- Slow breathing (inhale 4, exhale 6).
- Lower stimulation where possible.
Accept & ask for help
- Accept help when it’s offered.
- Share the load where possible.
- Ask for support early, not at breaking point.
- Support is not a luxury, it’s essential!
Talk it out
- Reach out to family, friends or services.
- Speaking with a professional can help you reset
- Therapy is support, don’t wait till a crisis.
YOUR WELLBEING MATTERS.
SUPPORT IS A STRENGTH.
REST IS A NECESSITY.
